30% Cashmere | 70% Merino
The newly developed and intriguing Fíodóir, or Weaver stitch, emulates the mosaic patterns of the stone walls in a striking combination of knitting and weaving. This intricate stitch uses a base Donegal fleck base yarn, and up to 3 contrasting colours for the floating weave. The show-stopping, oversized Fíodóir Scarf which can also be worn as a unique shawl, reflects the long history of both weaving and knitting on the Aran Islands. Crafted with super-premium Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, made to the highest European environmental standards using only organic dyes. This generously sized scarf measures 42cm x 165cm.
Designed, made and hand-finished in Aran Islands workshop.
Care
This garment is made using some of nature's most luxurious natural fibres, Cashmere and Extra Fine Merino Wool. This yarn has a characteristic crimp making it susceptible to pilling over time. To protect against pilling do not wear underneath other woolen layers or velcros and do not over-wash.
Hand wash in water no more than 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Lay on a flat surface to dry.
