Refund policy
Purchases from Old House Provisions are eligible for return requests 14 days after delivery. Please contact drew@oldhouseprovisions.com to initiate your request. There is a flat $5 shipping charge on returns not made directly in the store, which will be deducted from the return amount. All returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and un-tailored with the original tags and any applicable brand packaging (example: the boxes 100Hands shirts come in).
Due to the nature of leather shoes showing wear extremely easily, shoe purchases are excluded from this return policy. However, shoe return requests may be considered on a case by case basis by emailing drew@oldhouseprovisions.com. Please reach out before placing an order if you have sizing questions and take care when trying shoes on to avoid scuffing on soles, creasing on uppers, or other visible signs of wear.
Items being returned must be dropped off with the appropriate shipping service no more than 7 days after the return shipping label is sent to the customer. Failure to do this will result in the return request being canceled.
Items purchased online using the "in store pickup" option are subject to the same 14 day return policy from the date of purchase as in store purchases, not 14 days from the date that the customer picks up their item(s).
Damaged or Undelivered Packages
Successfully claiming damage on shipped goods is, unfortunately, difficult. Therefore, the customer is responsible for documenting the damage to both the goods AND the package itself. Discarding the packaging before documenting it could result in a damage claim being denied. We reserve the right to deny damage claims from customers at our discretion, particularly if insufficient documentation is supplied by the customer to allow for a claim to be accepted.
If a package is marked as lost by the shipping service or has not been scanned in tracking for 20 days, the package can be claimed as lost, which we will handle on our end. Usually in these scenarios, a replacement or refund can be processed after the claim has been successfully granted. Occasionally, customers may need to testify to not receiving the package in order for this process to go forward.
In the case of packages being marked as delivered when they were either not delivered or delivered to the wrong address, it is the customers responsibility to work with the shipping service to find the package because we have no way of testifying to the missing package.
Special Orders
Made-to-Order/Made-to-Measure or special ordered items are final sale and typically require full payment up front. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis depending possible issues that arise upon delivery, but return requests for these items will not be granted if the customer simply changes their mind about a purchase between order and delivery.
This special order policy does not apply to certain brands that can easily be restocked domestically with the vendor, for example, Alden stock shoes and Randolph stock sunglasses. However, the usual return policy and shoe return policy would still apply. If you're unsure if a particular special order would be eligible for a possible return, please reach out to enquire before placing your order.
Exchanges
During the exchange process, the eventual item the customer wishes to have after the exchange will remain on sale until the original item being returned is received by Old House Provisions. If the item the customer is waiting to receive via exchange is sold before the original one is received by Old House Provisions, the transaction will be processed as a return. To avoid this scenario the customer is encouraged to place a new order and reach out for a return on the original item separately, in which case the desired item will be removed from stock immediately like any other purchase through Old House Provision's website.
Final Sale
Sale items and/or items market as final sale are always final sale. This applies to all items purchased below full price for any reason including during site-wide sales. The only exception to this is items purchased with one-time discount codes such as initial new customer promotions.
All underwear and sock purchases are final sale.
Extended Returns
Purchases made at full price after Black Friday/Cyber Monday are eligible for returns/exchanges through January 15 of the following year.
Price Adjustments
Price adjustments can be granted if all of the following three criteria are met:
- The item was purchased at full price.
- The item was purchased within 7 days prior to the sale.
- The exact same item (brand/style/color/size/etc.) is still in stock at the time of the price adjustment request.
Return Refusal
Old House Provisions reserves the right to reject a return at our sole discretion for any reason, including but not limited to when returned items are received in a condition that we deem unsuitable for resale at full price. In these instances, the customer will be notified and will have the option to either relinquish the returned item or have it shipped back to them at their own expense and risk. If the customer does not respond within 30 days of being contacted by us, we will assume the item has been relinquished to us.
Old House Provisions endeavors to apply these policies fairly, such that returns of imperfect merchandise may occasionally be accepted with an appropriate restocking fee, determined by us on a case-by-case basis.
