Service Boot 2030 - Black Chromexcel
Service Boot 2030 - Black Chromexcel
The Service Boot is Viberg's foundational product. Created by Edwin Viberg in the 1930s for farm and prairie laborers, the modern variation has an updated, dressier profile while maintaining the durability and utility by continuing to use the highest quality materials and construction methods. The Stitchdown construction method is so durable and waterproof that it has been adopted widely by loggers and firefighters in the pacific northwest of North America.
Built on Viberg's most popular last, the 2030, which is based off of a vintage Canadian Military Parade last and last features a low profile silhouette and elongated almond-shaped toe. See size chart below. Standard E width to fit most feet.
Chromexcel®, known for its unique pull-up, has been produced for over 100 years by the famous Horween Tannery in Chicago. The recipe involves chrome and vegetable tanning and requires 89 individual steps and a minimum of 28 days to complete. The result is an incredibly durable leather with a refined & rugged finish that gets better with age.
