Navy MacArthur 1940P - 2 Pleat Wool Gabardine Trousers
Inspired by the double forward pleat chinos worn by General Douglass MacArthur, these trousers are made by the first Japanese firm to make authentic American-style chinos. The factory hand irons each pair to add natural shape to the garment the same way a bespoke tailor would. Made from Japanese-milled wool gabardine. The cut is full through the leg with a very slight taper. These come with an unfinished hem and 36" inseam to be adjusted to the wearer's preferences.
The model 1940P was designed with the Asian market in mind, so I recommend sizing up from your normal waist size. I typically wear a 34, and I wear an XXL in Barnstormer model 1940P, but a 34 in their model 1955UC.
- Reinforced seams
- Triangular gussets on the back and crotch for superior fit
- Unfinished hem
- Made in Japan
