This jacket/coat liner is a removable, high-performance inner lining designed to zip or button into compatible Cohérence jackets and coats, extending their wearability into the colder months. Thin yet warm, and soft yet durable, it helps to trap body heat while controlling the humidity inside the garment's outer shell.

The liner is made of "mawata" silk wadding – an insulation material produced by Japanese craftsmen since ancient times. Found in literature dating from the 3rd century onward, mawata was traditionally used to make cold-weather clothes and bedding, but is rare today, as the number of skilled craftspeople producing it has dwindled. This version is made from cupro, a regenerative material that comes from tiny cotton fibers that are too small to spin into typical cotton fabric.
